Tools every business owner must use

There are so many different tools that can help you plan, design and schedule your social media. All you need to do is to find the ones that work for you.

Planning tools

Asana is a great tool to help you get organised. It will also help your team stay on top of their workflow. They offer a free and a paid option.

With Monday.com you can integrate different apps to help you streamline your business and your workflow. They offer a free and a paid option.

Design tools

Canva and Vista create are easy to use design software. With thousands of templates, you don't have to be a graphic designer to get amazing images, videos, presentations or social media posts.

Scheduling tools

There are endless amounts of scheduling tools available on the market. Over the recent years, the free options have reduced the number of posts that you can schedule in advance. The two most common ones are Hootsuite and Buffer. If you are only publishing on Facebook and Instagram you can have a look at Meta Business Suite. It helps you to schedule your stories and posts and give you real-time feedback on the content that you create.

CRM (Customer Management System)

Now you might think 'why do I need a CRM system, I'm only a small business?'

But the truth is if you keep all your client's details in one place you will be able to send newsletters and promotions with a click of a button. You will also be able to see how many people have opened your email and who has clicked on a link. This gives you the opportunity to follow up on potential leads.

Easy to use CRM systems are HubSpot and MailChimp. Both of them offer free accounts to help you get started.

Websites

Websites are your shopfront to the world. What does your website say about you and your business?

When you land on your website would you like to buy from yourself? Or do you feel a bit embarrassed?

If you are someone who likes tech and doesn't mind researching different plugins then go for WordPress.com They have been around for ages but they are not the most user friendly if you don't understand tech.

If you want something that's easy to use and which you can do yourself then go for Wix.com They offer you everything you can think of and more. You can combine your website, shop, events, CRM, and accounting from one dashboard. It gives you step-by-step guides to do everything yourself.
